Memphis-Kansas

Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Apr 09, 2008 2:15 am

Twenty years ago, it was Danny and the Miracles. Now it is Mario and the Miracles. Mario Chalmers 3-pointer with 2.1 seconds left in regulation put the game into overtime and Kansas pulled away to a 75-68 win over Memphis. Once the game went into overtime, it seemed like Memphis was finished. A team that was once ahead by nine with 2:12 left looked tired and demoralized in overtime. Memphis' inability to hit free throws came back to haunt them as they missed 4 of 5 down the stretch in regulation.
The critic is one who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
