Delaware State defeated North Carolina A&T 70-66 to take over fourth place in the MEAC. Roy Bright had a solid game for the Hornets but the key to the game was the bench play by Delaware State led by Donald Johnson, Joe Dickens, and Trevor Welcher. Steven Rush had a hot start for the Aggies, but he was not much of a factor for the last 25 minutes of the game. He was lucky not to be thrown out of the game when he hit Kyle White in the face with an intentional elbow but was not even charged with a foul.
