Marquette-South Florida: Another Great Comeback

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Jan 28, 2007 11:25 pm

I was at the game and saw a great finish.

Dominic James made a layup in heavy traffic to tie the game at 68 with 15 seconds left. USF called timout with nine seconds left. USF's point guard Chris Howard tried to make a pass to forward Melvin Buckley after the initial inbounds pass when Jerel McNeal stole the pass and rushed down the court. Howard get back to defend but McNeal avoided the charge by stopping and shooting a a short jumper. Shot on time, but scoring at the buzzer, Marquette wins 70-68.
