This is the sixth time that Virginia Tech has lost by five or less. Ahhhh!

1. Bowling Green 72 - 71 (1 point loss)
2. Duke 77 - 75 (2 point loss)
3. Old Dominion 58 - 55 (3 point loss)
4. North Carolina 64 - 61 (3 point loss)
5. Virginia 54 - 49 (5 point loss)
6. Boston College 74 - 73 (1 point loss)

Half of those have been top 25 teams, including a 2 point loss to Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Sean Dockery made a forty-three foot shot with no time remaining to beat Tech. The Blue Devils were number one at the time. Against Bowling Green our own player, A.D. Vassallo, tipped in a shot that Bowling Green threw up, giving the Falcons a one point win. On every highlight during future games, it was clear that the buzzer had already gone off. The refs at the game were not able to review it though, because there was no television broadcast. When North Carolina came to Blacksburg, they had a three point lead with 0.3 seconds left. Deron Washington caught the inbounds pass in the corner, turned around and shot the ball while falling out of bounds. It clanked off the front of the rim to give the Tar Heels a 64 - 61 win. It was North Carolina's 18th straight win over Virginia Tech. If only we knew how to finish a game!

Man, my condolenses to the ...fanatic family.

Imagine, if VT wins half of those games, they're on the bubble and could get in the tourney as a 10 or 11 seed.
