Predictions?

Postby ..fanaticjr » Wed Jan 18, 2006 2:27 pm

Would anybody like to do basketball predictions?

I would set it up. There would be any number of games (about 10-20) chosen for the entire week (not day). I would post the leaderboard after each week of games, just like the football picks. There will be bonuses. We would need to start this soon so that the season isn't basically completely over. It would start on Monday, December 23rd.

I think that would be pretty cool, I was thinking about doing that myself, but I think you'd make a good host for the game. I vote yes.

However, I do have one suggestion. So everybody has a chance to get their picks in, why don't you just do Saturday games? Saturday is usually loaded with good college basketball games. I think it would be easy to come up with 20 competitive ball games on Saturday. Or, if there were any good ones over the weekend, you could do that if they were played on a Sunday.

Trust me, earlier this season I ran into some problems when I stuck Toledo vs. Fresno State on the predictions because it was being played on a Tuesday night.

Eric,
That sounds pretty good, that is about doing only Saturday and Sunday games. Thanks! :D

I can't do this one. I don't know enough about any of the teams to have any sort of chance.

If there is one more 'yes' vote then we are going to do college basketball picks. :D Everyone feel free to vote even after there is one more 'yes' vote. The first list of picks will be on Monday, December 23rd. The games will only be Saturday and Sunday games. There will be twenty games to predict and also one bonus prediction. The leaderboards will be posted shortly after all games ending, the same day as the picks.

There are just to many teams for me to try and pick.
There must be a lest 300 of them.

Howdy, you know were only doing 20 games, not every single one. Most of them you would know because they are supposed to be good games so the teams will probably be pretty well-known. I'm not going to put Savannah St. vs. UC Irvine.

Don't worry Howdy, you'd probably be able to do it!
