Petino has regained quite a bit of enthusiasm the last two years and is on a recruiting hunt for top talent for 2015 with the commitment of top recruits Donovan Mitchell yesterday preceded by local top player Raymond Spalding and Deng Adel some weeks ago. This may be (depending on who shows up at campus) the best recruiting year so far for Petino. Things are definitely on the upswing in talent.

The three aforementioned players make Petino's 2015 recruiting class 2nd in the nation according to some ranking services. And, there are still some top prospects UL is after for 2015. :)

Sounds good to me, Swamp Daddy 8)

Added to an already loaded class for 2015, Petino added shooting guard Blakeney, 15th best player in the country. At the moment the incoming UL class for 2015 is rated tops in the country. He has been gang-busters all summer.

Last preseason scrimmage, Red-White game, last night and I got to watch it on TV. Usually early jitters; and, 3 point shots from downtown and beyond were bouncing everywhere.

Overall, everything looked good and by years end they should be clicking.

I liked what I saw better than my earlier expectations.

Good to see the season kick off last night. Minnesota is a decent team, but Louisville really controlled that game. Mich St however, looked very unimpressive vs Navy.

Michigan State always looks unimpressive early. Izzo is the best coach in the B10 . He will have them ready to play when the bell rings.

UL looking better earlier in the season than I thought; however, free throws may be a problem. It would be nice if more 3s went in too. Don't want much do I. Some of the ACC teams are gonna be surprised when they come to the Yum Center for games.

At the momen UK looks unstoppable; but, wait til they face someone tougher.
