Who will replace Rick Pitino?

Postby Swamp Daddy » Fri Jun 06, 2014 6:30 pm

The coaching job is certainly Rick Pinto's until he decides to quit. Many possible replacements have been talked about locally; but, after his instant sucess at Minnesota, son Richard Pitino is somewhat of a crowd favorite.

Sons replacing fathers has been an iffy thing in basketball at other places. If he continues to push Minnesota forward his stock will grow.

My pick to replace Rick would be Billy Donvan from Florida. However, Rick Pitnio is doing gang busters at recruiting with 3 7-footers coming on board and some hot local talent in 4-star 6'9" Ray Spaulding from Trinity High here in town plus 6'7" Deng Adel considered by many to be a top 25 recruit, both for 2015.

Should be an interesting year, Swamp Daddy
