Creighton-Butler

Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Jan 15, 2014 1:52 am

The Creighton Bluejays blitzed the Butler Bulldogs right from the start of the game and went on to win easily 88-60. Doug McDermott scored 24 of his 28 points in the first half as he matched what the Bulldogs entire team scored in the first half. Creighton shot 55.6% in the game and made 7-of-19 of its 3-point attempts. The Bluejays only committed four turnovers in the contest. Austin Chapman tallied 10 points as the only other Bluejay to reach double digits in points as Creighton had 36 bench points in the game. The Bulldogs shot just 35.3 from the field in the game and made only 7 of their 22 attempts from long range. Kellen Dunham had 12 points for Butler in the losing effort. Creighton is now 15-2 overall and 5-0 in Big East play. Butler falls to 10-7 and is now winless in its first five Big East games.
