Purdue's Likability

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Nov 11, 2006 4:58 am

Hey Spence, you should always pay attention to Purdue during bowl season since they are the most likable football team in the big 10. You just cannot beat the enjoyment of their offensive system when they have it in gear.

Yeah, basketball on grass is fun to watch when it works. The problem with Tillers system is that it works pretty well in Sept. and Oct. when it is warm and then when the weather chances Purdue always seems to struggle.

They're terrible. My only fear is that they will get away with appearing respectable to the average fan if they beat a team like Missouri in the Insight Bowl.

Purdue shouldn't have won today. Illinois had a complete breakdown in the third quarter. I can't believe Purdue won that game.

They're such a piece of junk. They have a terrible, flat-out terrible defense that wouldn't hold up against a JV highschool team and when their offense plays a team that can actually resist an average offense, they get totally shut down.

Ball State? Miami OH? Indiana State? No Michigan or Ohio State? You've got to be kidding me  Substitute 2 solid teams in their OOC schedule for the terrible ones and have them play Michigan and Ohio State and see if they get into a bowl. If there's any team that made it into a bowl game because they played an easy schedule, it must be Purdue. There's a chance that, besides Middle Tennessee, they are the worst bowl team this year.

I just can't get over the fact that a team that is this bad is going to be bowling

I agree. Northwestern, Indiana, and Illinois are better teams then Purdue.

Billybud and I have a bet on the Western Michigan/FSU game. The amount is 250 CFP Bucks. Billybud will take the Noles straight-up and I'm taking the Broncos straight-up.

P.S.: I don't really think they win, I'm just doing it because they're Western Michigan. Gotta show support for the hometown team.

Bet Completed

Yeah, didn't see it. I'm not sure about all midwesterners, but my head is made up of mostly cork. (I get good distance if you bounce a baseball off it)

100 CFP Bucks on winner of coin toss during 'The Game'.

Arkansas State versus Troy

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Nov 18, 2006 5:33 pm

Everyone needs dessert after a full course meal. Arkansas State-Troy is that dish of jello after the Ohio State-Michigan game. Anyone interested in taking Arkansas State straight up for 25 CFP bucks?
