Picks --- Week Thirteen Results

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sun Nov 26, 2017 9:06 am

.

Results for the Pre-Saturday Games:

Thursday, November 23 --- Thanksgiving Evening

Ole Miss +3 [Mississippi State had to score 22 points in the 4th quarter to make it look close]

Friday, November 24

Pitt +10
Central Michigan +7
Houston +10
Missouri +3
UCF +7
Iowa +42
Virginia Tech +10
Texas Tech +3
UCLA +3

Pre-Saturday Games Participants:

Highfly = 6
Donovan = 5
Cane = 3

Highfly, nice picking in this one off nonSaturday contest. Donovan, not bad, 50% has been your general range this season ... but, wow, did I ever do terrible. You never really know in rivalry games, though. Which is what makes this week so fun.

--- Rivalry Week Saturday Game Results ---

Saturday, November 25

(1.) Washington +27
(2.) Arizona State +12
(3.) Georgia +31
(4.) Ohio State +11
(5.) Purdue +7
(6.) Florida State +16
(7.) Louisville +27
(8.) Boston College +28
(9.) Duke +8
(10.) Arkansas State +17 [the final score was 67-50]
(11.) Nevada +7
(12.) Auburn +12
(13.) Fresno State +11
(14.) Kansas State +1
(15.) Vanderbilt +18
(16.) Oregon +59
(17.) Clemson +24
(18.) LSU +24
(19.) Stanford +18
(20.) BYU +10

Week Thirteen Participant Scores:

Donovan = 17
Spence = 16
Highfly = 16
Cane = 16
Derek = 10
Old Ducker = 9

Why not have your best week, the last week of the season..? Donovan, as anomalous it may seem, tops the leader board once before the end, winning Week Thirteen with 17 correct Predictions.

Keep your eye on the day this next up coming week. The Pac-12 Championship is on Friday this week, and is the only FBS Pre-Saturday Game --- So, yes, I will put Stanford vs USC in the weekly Picks.

Thanks, its funny I agree about the uncertainty of rivalry games but the one game I gave no hesitation too was the one very few saw coming, Miami.

Yeah ... I had made mention of it in another thread, that if Miami didn't play well start to finish, Pitt very well could beat them.

Obviously, I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.

Unfortunately, as I watched this game, I could see how much more energy Pitt had than the `Canes, and I knew from the moment Pitt scored their first field goal, they were going to win.

I briefly found hope, when Miami took the lead, 7-3 ... when the lead flipped 10-7 in Pitt's favor, I knew it was over.

It was apparent, when Miami didn't play in hurry up mode, with 9 minute left, that they weren't taking being behind seriously enough. It cost `em. Now the post season for us is in limbo.
