CFP Trivia Challenge Question Game 51

Postby Spence » Wed Jun 21, 2006 5:16 pm

From MECU,

Since 1990, defenses were allowed to advance a fumble that occured beyond the line of scrimage. In 1992, they were allowed to advance any fumble. For the 1990 - 2004 seasons, what percentage of fumble recoveries by defenses resulted in touchdowns?

Which seems like a really high number.

Aren't percentages weird?
How can you have .4% of a fumble?

.4% example:

Against Baylor, Matt Nordgren had mop up duty at QB, he's running into the end zone when he fumbles the ball with no one around, it took an amazing hop back up into his hands for the TD, his only of his career.

That's the .4% fumble I was wondering about, I knew it had to exist somewhere, but why did you have to mention it twice?
It appears Yeofoot 'captured' his own fumble and returned it for a T.D.
Congratulations!
