I do hope the best for the health of these players, however.

I don't care what team you play for, I never like seeing players getting injured.

I also like that these guys aren't pushing & shoving each other out there.

It's easy to lose your temper when one team is dominating the other.
I respect the poise these young men are showing tonight.
Not a lot of hot doggin' goin' on, either.

This just goes to show that good old fashioned smashmouth pro style football is still the way to go.

You have to make up reasons to watch these games......This is the best argument for not having a National Championship....Layoff a month before you play....

I guess it won't be that way when they start the playoffs. They will play every week to the end. I would rather just play the bowl games. Let the chips fall where they may.

I agree . . . unfortunately we'll be stuck with at least 12 years of playoff football.

Hopefully, they'll learn the mistake they will be making . . . and then go back to the old Bowl format.

I doubt it. Less teams in post season to pay plus big money for playoff games. They will be here to stay.

That's odd . . . usually it's the team who is getting blown out, that come unglued.

Maybe it's time for Saban to take some of the starters out.
Game is decided, and the qb & center are tense with each other.

Post game interview . . . the center Barrett Jones said about McCarron; he's an emotional guy, we had a disagreement about the snap count, I was right, so you know.

Thing is, McCarron was trying to get his Center to snap the ball, and he didn't. There was a delay of game penalty . . . gotta say, I think McCarron was the one in the right.

265 rushing yard, 264 passing yards: kind of hard to compete against that type of balance.

Congrats to the Tide . . . Roll on!

A last silly thought over this game. For the decade preceding last year Notre Dame football was basically irrelevant. They were sucessful last year and the media and Irish fans immediately boasted that this was the 3rd coming.

I don't much care for Notre Dame due to the way they dealt with their ties to the Big East, so I was skeptical from the start on whether they belonged in a title game or not. Notre Dame fairly well dominated non-revenue sports in the BE other than football or basketball until Louisville came along to challenge and beat them in most of those sports.

I was of the opinion then Notre Dame should be told to fully join the BE (football) or take a hike; my opinion wasn't too popular except with UL, Pittsburgh and WVa fans who want to play ND in football and kick their asses.

Now, with Notre Dame in the ACC (sort of anyway) in football; and, Louisville set to join after next year, my opinion is the same - join fully, play a full league schedule or take a hike. Of course, I know this won't happen but it is still the way I feel  . They can schedule those killer games with other top teams in their pre-league games.

Notre Dame's performance in the bowl game just reinforces my opinions on their worth.

I've always wondered why any conference would let ND in their conference without joining in football. Notre Dame brings lots of money to the table and the conferences that struggle for money usually want the domers because of the money.
