Bravado. Mack Brown tried it and failed so Pete was trying to show him how it's done. Bet right now Pete wishes he had took the points.

The 2nd half will be when the real game starts. That is the half you find what teams are made of.

AS I watch the first half of this game I started thinking.

Nebraska has to play both of these team come fall.
That may be like trying to go sledding on the 4th of july.

We play Texas in Austin early next year. We'll try and soften 'em up for you.

In the third quarter they are trading punches. Starting to show why they are #1 and #2.

Kind of like how V Young tried to show Reggie Bush how to do a lateral, and pulled it off (even though he shouldn't have).

I swear, that must've been his thinking.

No doubt Young was down on that play. These are the same officials who called the Ohio State- Michigan game. They will let these guys play. You won't see too many roughing calls out of them.

Texas has let USC dictate the speed in the 2nd half. They started out playing physical and now they are trying to run with SC. They can't run with SC. They are playing right into Carrolls hands.

Turnover on downs with 2:09 left to play.

Now this game is starting to twist my stomach into knots.

EDIT: And now a facemask call to give UT the first.

EDIT #2: Eeee, I can't stand this. They're so close. Down at the 9 yard line, 4th down.

EDIT #3: YESYESYES!! Mwuhahaha, USC is no longer the best in the nation. God I love college football.

I thought Texas would have a chance to win this game. WOW! What an ending. It was a good clean game. Both teams played their hearts out, but in the end Vince Young decided not too lose.

Congrats to the Longhorns 2006 National Champions and congrat to USC, who played a championship game. This is what championship games should look like. WOW!

I should have done pretty well with the one game fantasy pick, plus Ohio State gets to play a #1 Texas team early next season. All we have to do is rebuild the defense by September

Everyone but Mountainman got a point for choosing the correct winner.

Your combined predicted score was right on. COMBINED I say =]

I was 24pts off. Bleh, I said 31 to 24.

Anyways, ya'll have a good night.

PS! If you post the 1,000th total post tonight, take a screenshot of the front page on the board to prove it. DON'T POST JUST TO BE #1,000. I will warn you =]

I won't be around for 1000. I'm going to bed. 1:00 three nights in a row is too much for an old guy.

Exactly...I wanna watch ESPN for the next few days to see how they cover this....
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
