West Virginia Brokeback Mountaineeeeeeeeeers!!!

Postby Yeofoot » Mon Mar 20, 2006 11:27 am

I don't know anything about WVU, but they suck and are getting their butts kicked this week in basketball. The Brokeback Mountaineers are going to get an industrial sized can of WhoopAzzzz, opened up on 'em.

Okay, I'm actually laughing at my new nickname for WVU.

That makes you BrokeBackMountainMan. HeHeHeHe. You are my Rich for the next few days!

Yada, yada, yada ........

Somebody told me that was a movie about a couple of cowboys or was that cowpunchers? :o

Hmmmmm, that's strange ... haven't seen any cowboys roaming around here. When I think of cowboys somehow I think of places like Texas and Arizona. :P

Full Metal Jacket has caused me to hear the steers and (Rhymes with steers), for way too long.

What does WVA have anyway?

Texas has an extremely talented team that is prone to slacking off.

I think WVU will give Texas all they can handle. Beware the B-East in the B-ball tournament.

I think Deliverance was set in northern Georgia not WVA. If you have ever been to Huntington, WVA and seen the women you would see that Ned Beatty wouldn't be a choice.

Deliverance was filmed on the South Carolina and Georgia border ... on the South Carolina side I believe, but the actors were from West Virginia or could have been .... just kidding.

You gotta admit that Neb Beatty is kinda cute. What was that line .... "Looks like we got a sow here instead of a boar".

The Mountaineer basketball team is just a bunch of short stubby guys that can shoot pretty good once they figure out which basket they're supposed to shoot at. The big problem is game preparation .... since the NCAA insists that we cannot wear our bibbed overalls and have to wear shoes. Once someone ties the strings in that neat little bow of a thing for us and explains that the cup of the jock strap goes in the front we're ready to go.

I think the Mountaineers and the Longhorns have already played once this season with the Longhorns winning by a point or so. The West Virginia players came back and told us that they were really disappointed to see that the musical instruments used by the Longhorn Pep Band looked about the same length as the one's the West Virginia Pep Band uses.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

Whoa there Derek .... there's some contrary information out there.

According to IMDb the "Earth's Biggest Movie Database" the movie Deliverance had filming locations in:

Clayton, Georgia
Lake Jocassee, Oconee County, South Carolina
Oconee County, South Carolina
Rabun County, Georgia
Tallulah Gorge, Georgia

I predict W. Virginia will beat Texas, but not by a lot.

MY BAD!!

I just remember the Talluh Gorge part....I've been there many times. :D

Beautiful place....If any of you come through GA, that place is worth checking out if you love scenery.

Way off topic...But another Burt Reynolds movie that was all filmed in GA was Smokey and the Bandit.....Some of that was filmed a few miles from my childhood home....I remember them blocking of some roads to do the movie.

WAY off topic.
