Thanks for the info ... the Mountaineers played in the Peach Bowl back then ... I thought maybe that was the game.

I was on WVU's website and saw where they and the Gamecocks of South Carolina played in the Peach Bowl a year later, 1969.

I know what you mean about the mud .... WV and NC State (I believe) played the game in a quagmire once upon a time.

Too bad they are renaming it to the Chick-Fil-A bowl.....I guess it wasnt enough to just call it the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl....Gotta own it and what not.
