Ga v. Alabama

Postby Derek » Tue Dec 07, 2021 3:39 am

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I watched Alabama play Auburn couple of weeks ago and thought to myself, ‘WTF, is that really ‘Bama’?

I watched Alabama play Georgia last weekend and thought to myself, ‘WTF, is that really ‘Bama’?

Bama's online struggled all season to block...especially vs these teams: Texas A&M, LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas. They looked like world beaters against Georgia (against a dline that destroyed everyone they had played up to that point). I mean Bama had 6 total rushing yards vs LSU, and had -3 yards rushing at one point vs Auburn in the 3rd quarter before finishing with 60ish yards for the game. Bama's corners have been made to look silly at times this season as well. Something Georgia was not able to exploit like Arkansas, A&M, and others did.

I thought Georgia was going to win easily based on watching both teams play all season. I'm glad I don't bet because I would have bet the house on Georgia.

Sums it all up right there.

Other than Michigan over Iowa, Georgia was the only game I was near certain had the win locked up.

Maybe Pitt over Wake, but even then I had a slight pause.

There was a guy who is a Georgia fan that does general College Football coverage videos.

He was interviewed by another College Football guy, before Saturday's games, and said:
(When asked about Georgia being given [just] a 6.5 spread favorite)

I feel like people are treating Alabama like this is Alabama. The line is 6 and a half. There's no other explanation for that. It should be 10.

You see these people do the blind resume' test. This is usually when they're trying to prove a point about the College Football playoff, and without tellin' you the team, they'll put up like their overall record, wins against ranked teams. Stuff like that. And you're like "Oh my God, I can't believe this team's ahead of that team."

If you took Alabama out of an Alabama uniform, and everything else was the same about their season, except their logo, it would be a 10 point spread. So, I think people are treating Alabama like they are Alabama. That's the only reason it's 6 and a half. I mean, Georgia's just clearly the better team.

People say what they want. The better team usually wins in football. It's why Alabama has beat Georgia, the last 3 times we played. They were the better team, and they won the game. Georgia's the better team this year, and for Alabama to win, it'll be the typical things you hear. Georgia would have to make mistakes, turn the ball over, Alabama needs a punt return for a touchdown. The stuff you normally want to do, if you want to beat Alabama, Alabama I think, has to do that to beat Georgia in this game.

Saturday was a clear case of ...

Well, I guess not, then.
