And they need to take away auto bids to non playoff bowls.
This way, teams won't be able to just shrug their shoulders, do to conference tie-ins when they get the invite.
Put everyone on the same spectrum. Let the individual Bowl Committees select the teams they want. And make the qualifier 50% or better, elsewise you're sitting the post season.
Make everyone earn their bowl spot, so that the teams feel as though they achieved something. A right to play there. Not just because you fill some arbitrary opening the conference was promised before the season began.
