Texas San Antonio runs 1 play for 3 yards, then puts the Field Goal unit onto the field.

Ball is snapped ... Timeout called, to ice the kicker.

Lining back up,snap is good ... Kick is through ... Roadrunners win, 51-48.

College Football is back!

I guess what I can take from the FSU -v- Georgia Tech game; whoever is on Ga Tech's schedule had better pay attention.

They limped into this game with missing personnel, got down 10-0, and fought to stay in it, to give themselves a shot if they could keep things close.

There were mistakes made on both sides. And the Yellow Jackets missing 3 kicks [all were blocked].

These guys have grit, and won't merely roll over if things look bleak.

FSU needs to get some offensive consistency. The Defense looks decent. But, you aren't going to be able to lean on them in every game, if the offense doesn't get it together.

It's early, I know. Just game one. And I get that they had a short camp, while learning a new playbook.

But this was not like Iowa St losing to Louisiana. This was in conference, which means you're already behind.

Could be another tough season for the `Noles.

In the meantime ...

Clemson is doing about what I expected. It's 24-0, and Wake's punting again, with 49 seconds to go in the first half.

Business as usual.
