Stay Safe...stay well.

We are going grocery shopping tommorrow and then plan on limiting our social activity for a while.

Normally, we are out three or four nights a week with friends...listen to a lot of live music...but we are pulling back for a while.

At least those who are younger in our families aren't at risk of becoming a fatality, thank God...the morbidity rate moves up a bit for a codger.

Good call........ just shows that ole gray-beards know how to use their heads and demonstrate good judgement and correctness, whereas Jimmy Dugan had to tell those young and inexperienced whipper-snappers to “use your head” and then explain to them that “it’s that lump about two feet above your A-double S.

Be well everyone....... 8)

And Derek...good to hear from you as well.

A friend of ours flys 777s out of Atlanta...he actually lives here in WNC....We were drinking a beer at our local pub and he casually mentioned that his route to China had been cancelled but that he was still flying the Japan route...

Whoa Tom...move down a stool!

The world is getting smaller.

Hey Derek, just hanging around watching the investment markets taking a nose dive...... a mixture of it being a Presidential Election Year, the coronavirus and the darn Russians and Arabs in a pissin’ contest over who’s gonna set the price of crude oil is more than it can stand.

.......toss in No March Madness and just thought I’d stop by and vent a little.

I know I was supposed to go to a conference in Vegas in two weeks that is cancelled now. Schools are cancelled, sports, it is really crazy.

The early stock market fall had everything to do with OPEC and the Russians. This last drop was all the governments reaction to coronavirus.

Just imagine:

Had you invested a couple of thousand in hand sanitizer about a month ago ...

Could kick myself.

It would have been really interesting to get Donovan's take on the current situation. They have closed all the restaurants and bars to customers except to carry out. I am in the business of supplying to independent food service operations. It is going to be tough on my customers to keep their doors open for more than a couple weeks under these conditions. Having fought through so many issues over the last 6 years to have finally looking like we were in good shape and a darn virus is probably going to do me in - at least professionally. If any of you live in places with the same issues, support you local independents. Let them deliver or do curbside pick up when ever you can. Help keep those people around. They don't have deep pockets. They still need your support.

North Carolina has closed all bars...all restaurants except carry-out, drive through.

We went for a walk along the river today for exercise....rode through downtown about lunch time to check it out...like a movie where everybody has vanished.

Same in Wild and Wonderful....... even to to the point the Distillers in the State are upping the proof from the 170 threshold to the 190 mark in order to make hand sanitizer.

It appears to me as if the Feds are putting the mechanism and components in place in order to implement further restrictions on travel and personal contact...... this darn thing is so contagious and we’ve just gotta get the spread under control.

Cheer for the virologists and others trying to ID and kill this thing and the caregivers who are treating those infected like you do for your favorite team!!!

Be smart and be well...... 8)

Been in iso a week....stir crazy with cabin fever.

It's time to run out screaming into the blizzard...

We are going out for a walk in a bit...that will help...maybe.
