He's not even in the top 5 in passing. He's really getting recognition because he's at Notre Dame... if he weren't there... if he were at Oklahoma State or TCU or Northwestern or some other school... he wouldn't be talked about in the same regards... is he good, YES! But is he the BEST player in college football... hardly.
You have a right to your own opinion, I think Quinn has mostly lived up to the 'hype', so I've giving him his 'just due'. Imagine how hard it must be to play for Notre Dame. I can't, myself. Anyone can have a bad game. Actually, I think Quinn picked a good game to 'suck' in. Michigan was on a 'roll'. Notre Dame was still getting it's feet wet. If those teams were to meet in a BCS pairing, I think the result, would likely be different.
But, if it's based entirely on W/L then Chad Henne should be getting press. The Henne, Hart, & Manningham 'tri-fecta' make a pretty good Heisman trophy 'candidate', in my book. Each, individually, work toward a common goal. Wouldn't that be something!

He's the main reason we have a real chance at the SECCG. He's the main reason we have a legitimate shot atleast saying we deserve a MNC, and anyone that has ever watched him play will tell you that he is clearly deserving of some Heisman talk. Not that I'm biased or anything.
There's nothing wrong with being 'biased' if you can 'justify' it. I don't follow Razorback football, that closely, if at all. Right now, the loss to USC is likely 'hurting' the 'Hogs, in nearly every respect. USC's loss to Oregon St, might still be in the minds of voters. I really don't think it's about 'bias' at all. Voters try to be 'fair' for the most part. ( When Ty Detmer won the Heisman trophy, 1990, a lot of people thought Raghib Ismail deserved it. BYU followed it up (Heisman) with two 'lop-sided' losses to 'inferior' opponents (Hawaii, Texas A&M). Fortunately for him (Detmer) they awarded him the trophy, prematurely, in my opinion. Raghib Ismail nearly beat Colorado, singlehanded (as did Louisville's return specialist, last night). 'Gamebreakers' are what I call them (return specialists). But, I think voters look at a wide variety of info, before making a choice. Detmer might have still won it, it's hard to say.
