Never saw this coming...Duke winning? yeah, maybe...but not whipping the Hokies so thoroughly.

Duke's QB is very good.

Enjoyed watching parts of this game from the bar at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville...an amazing, historic inn...The golf course is so-so...but the public can play..$155 green fee plus cart.

High...but I thought that I'd tell Spence it would be a deal for me...only $1.00 per swing.

Yeah, I watched most of the 3rd quarter on a plane from Los Angeles. It looked like a very convincing win.

Duke was dead in the water. They couldn't move the ball more than 4 yards before punting. Va Tech was having some success gaining yardage; had to settle for 3 points, but it was enough to keep them ahead and play field position.

Then, Tech fumbled the ball ... 1 play later, Duke was in the end zone. And then things got out of hand.

It seemed as though once the Hokies fumbled, they thoroughly lost focus. And once Duke recovered the fumble, they were so filled with confidence, they just surfed on the peak of wave momentum the rest of the way.

Fuentes needs to fix moral. Because if 1 bad play is going to get you swatted like a gnat when you basically had control of the game, and you only got down by 4 points ... then things clearly aren't right.

Going into last night, I was looking to see how concerned I should be about the game next weekend vs Tech. I left that game thinking, maybe I should be more so worried about the Blue Devils.

Duke just started passing...and VT could not cover....Duke had wide open receivers. The zone defense was not working for VT...a defender would drop coverage expecting a defender behind him...and, often, there was none.

I think the Hokies forgot there was a game that should have been played. Yeah, you know, On the field, Lane Stadium, in Blacksburg. Especially with Vick there. Honoring 1999 team. Gotta hurt.
