I thought he might have. I even started to type that in my reply to his pick, but was trying not to make these posts lengthy.

Glad you chimed in when you did. I was fearin' I'd have to bump your first selection to next round.

Donovan has taken Washington State

I choose Notre Dame with my first pick.

Just too much returning talent to ignore. And the schedule is basically the same, so As much as I hate to sellout that way, gotta do it.

With that, it ends round one.

To recap where we are, the "Conferences" currently look like this:

Derek
Georgia
round 2
round 3
round 4
round 5
round 6
round 7
round 8

Billybud
Clemson
round 2
round 3
round 4

round 7
round 8

Montainman
Alabama
round 2

round 5
round 6
round 7
round 8

Dossenator
Oklahoma
round 2
round 3
round 4
round 5
round 6
round 7
round 8

Highfly
Washington
round 2
round 3
round 4

round 6
round 7
round 8

Donovan

Cane

Traditionally we've gone in reverse order when playing this competition in the past. Originally, I hadn't thought we would have enough time to do it. But when thinking it over, the person picking last each round takes 2 teams in a row, sort of speeding up the process a bit.

I hope you all do not mind. I am kind of a traditionalist, and would hate to break from our normal format.

With that, I will select my Round Two pick:
Miami

Still some question marks, but they should fair well enough throughout ACC play. If they get by flerrDuh! in the opener, then the `Canes ought to have some strong momentum going into the rest of the season.

We shall see.

I like this format as well. I'm glad for the late change back to it.

I have a suggestion, maybe next season a date and time frame, for everyone participating be established as SELECTION DAY, where all participants make their selections during that day and within a time frame, such as 5 minutes,

Call it Fantasy Conference Selection Day. 8)

Yep, that was the pick I was going to make. I had typed them in and back spaced `em putting Notre Dame in their place. I felt I couldn't leave Miami out there, because they would be too tempting as a third team, since I'll have the last choice in round 3.

Highfly; it's your selection.

Donovan took Ohio State out of the field.

Previously we had a time clock for each person to select their next team.

The first year, we had I believe a 24 hour time to choose a team, or we'd get bumped to last in the round.

The last time we did it, there was a 12 hour clock between participants, because we started so close to the season.

A few people wound up elapsing their time ~ a couple had done it more than once.

But things did move more quickly.

That might be a sneaky pick. Wisconsin does look to have the best chance to win the Big Ten West. I haven't looked to see they pull out of the East.

Doss, you're up.

Teams taken up to this point:

Round One:
Georgia
Clemson
Alabama
Oklahoma
Washington
Washington State
Notre Dame

Round Two:
Miami
Ohio State
Wisconsin

Second Pick: Utah

I choose Michigan.

.........I know, I know, their Head Football Coach climbs trees and has yet to beat Ohio State and struggles mightily against Wisconsin and Michigan State and other Big Ten Teams with a heartbeat, and I haven’t forgotten the RichRod fiasco either.

You're not going to get any gruff from me ...
Both Utah & Michigan were on my short list.

I think Utah's Defensive line is very stout, a will cause a bunch of problems for Pac-12 offenses this season.
Michigan has proven that they can win 10. No question, they would make a great conference addition.
