It was Boston, they are the ones that got the jump then took their ball and went home.

Those guys played on the same playground as I did when I was a kid.

We do in Oregon. Here is a standard playground. Quonset Hut and ax throwing.

We didn't have beaches. All we had were playgrounds.

We had no beaches in my neighborhood...we had a vacant sun baked red clay lot (like a huge brick)....We played football and baseball on it...it was like concrete so you developed really quick hands as an infielder...and being tackled was like being bounced on a runway (the neighborhood was built just post war on an abandoned WWIII Navy flight training runway)

I did become an all star (division) short stop in HS...I credit having to field balls that exploded at you.

We played in a dirt lot. Morning until night. Every day all day. I guess looking back on it not the best conditions, but we didn’t really know that so it was great.

we played and large Douglas firs were just there, sometimes they were the bases and other times just play around them. I had a great childhood and grateful to my parents. Never was hungry a day in my life and loved every day. Had one playmate back in the early 50's and he was keeping stats on our sock baseball league. (made our own mush balls to restrict the flight).
