Late Night Games

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sun Oct 14, 2018 12:44 am

This Boise/Nevada game is pretty evenly matched. I thought it might be somewhat close, which is why I put it in the Predictions.

Doss & Highfly both took Nevada to win in their picks. I'm thinking they know something I do not.

A field goal to end the half ties the game up at 17 all.

---

Fresno and Wyoming is a tight contest, too. Had I known it would be exciting, I'd have put it on the Picks list.

Would have been better than the BYU/Hawaii game. The Warriors are not looking so hot right now. BYU is all over them.

---

USC looks better than Colorado at the moment.

The Buffs were up 7-0, then USC scored 21 unanswered, taking a 14 point lead into the half.

Never mind on the Fresno State/Wyoming game. Looks like the Bulldogs are proving my assumptions valid.

They just scored their second touchdown of the 3rd quarter, and now lead 27-3.

The Cowboys do not have the skill positions to keep pace. This game is going the way of the rout.

Well, the good news for Wyoming, is that they stood strong, not letting Fresno score any points in the 4th quarter.

The bad news for Wyoming, is that they were unable to score at all in the second half.

Nice win for Fresno State, 27-3.

Boise & Nevada are at the start of the 4th ... Boise has the lead by 4, 31-27. The Broncos have the ball.

I really wanted Colorado to win their game against the Trojans. I just do not think they'll be able to trim the 21 point deficit they are in, in the next 14 minutes.

I know USC has collapsed a couple of times when they've had the lead this season. I simply believe the Buffaloes are not designed to run a team in such a short amount of time.

Oh well ... it was a dreamer's pick in my predictions.

Boise Wins! ... No, Wait, they didn't, yet.

Oh, yeah, they actually did.

Nevada's quarterback runs out of bounds with 1 second ticking away. The clock hit 0:00, the players all started shaking hands, sidelines went out onto the field, coaches congratulating each other ... under review ... they put a second back onto the clock.

Nevada lines up to throw deep ... ball is caught, pitched to another player, who pitches it to another player, who tosses the ball onto the ground ... Boise Recovers.

Boise wins, 31-27.

I'm not dead, yet ... I feel better ...

Colorado scored a touchdown, and recovered the onside kick.

Their chances are rather bad, with under 3 minutes left to play. A penalty to start the drive ... they trail USC by 11.

To have a chance at overtime, Colorado needs a Touchdown, two point conversion, onside kick and a field goal ...

All in two & a half minutes.
