ND --- Giant Sigh of Relief

"That"! is why you don't run the ball on 1rst & 2cnd down in that situation.

When you get minimal yards on the first play, you pass to give the defense a look they have to guess. When you get minimal yardage on second down also; You absolutely have to pass the ball to have a chance ... especially under 2 minutes to play, and all of the pressure is on your QB.

The Vanderbilt receiver had a chance to pull that ball down, and the Corner made a great play that separated the ball from the receiver on the hit. Turnover on downs.

o:58 left in the game ... 3rd down notre dame, Vanderbilt spent their last time out.

Tackle for loss ...

Notre Dame calls a timeout with 12 seconds left; awaiting the punt.

Beautiful Punt!

65 yards, fair caught on Vanderbilt's own 5 yard line, with 5 ticks left.

Vandy attempts the most uncoordinated pass & hitch, flails the ball in stupid places, notre dame winds up on top of it, Game Over --- ND 22 / Vanderbilt 17

Too Bad

The Commodores really had their opportunities here.

Vandy isn’t bad. Notre Dame isn’t as good as they think they are either.
