LSU -v- The Scout Team

So much has gone wrong in this game.

To start, the Defensive play is over aggressive & sloppy. The big plays turned into points. But, the penalties put the `Canes into bad situations. 15 yarders, giving up a 1rst down on 4th & 1. Being in 1rst & 5 yards...

The Offense, just simply isn't helping the defense out any. Rosier is still throwing the ball way over the heads of the receivers, and throwing the ball right at the LSU defensive backs.. He doesn't know how to check out of a defensive stunt. And the O-Line isn't picking up enough blocks.

The punting is terrible, giving LSU the ball at near midfield 4 times, affording them a short field to play with [score on].

The Hurricane D finally stepped up a little, holding LSU to several field goals. But, Field Goals that were successful [helped by having a short field to start from], where Miami can't even get close enough on most drive to try.

Miami cannot win these games with Rosier's legs. There needs to be some sort of passing game.

So much more ... just a miserable performance.

Canes looking better second half....nice downfield pitch and catch on a couple.

Miami got in a hole and tried to dig their way out. I thought LSU was not as good a Miami was bad. Missed assignment all over the place and passing game were abysmal; although second half better.

A big wrench was thrown in this game.

I’m rooting for LSU a little this year. I followed the progress of Joe Burrow for several years and I want him to do well. I think he can be a good QB. He just doesn’t have the arm strength you would wish from a QB.
