Arizona Head Coach Rich Rodriguez was fired on Tuesday due to sexual harassment allegations, the school says were unverifiable.

Here's the Article:

I don't know what to think.

If the allegations were serious enough, and there was enough evidence, then, yes, get rid of him.

However, it is getting to the point, where if you to ask someone out, they do not have to tell you no, they can just call it sexual harassment, because they say it was an unwanted advancement.

For Rich Rod, this, in my opinions, does not apply, seeing as how he is married. And he has had an extramarital affair in his past --- yet, an offer is not harassment until it is clearly unwanted & repeated.

Or, at least it use to be.

I just hope that the University Administration did a real investigation, and did not simply say, "Well, he was accused, so let's take the initiative we're expected to".

But the person who is alleging misconduct, is suing the University for $7.5 million. I do not like were this sort of thing is going, if people can just make an allegation, hoping for a giant payday.

It also doesn't make the school look very good, if the alleged occurrence is unsubstantiated, yet you fir the guy anyway --- makes the plaintiff's lawyer smile when you do thing such as that --- especially if the claim cannot be proven.

The accuser's lawyer can say, "Your honor, the University must believe there was something credible in my client's complaint. Why else would they have terminated the offender's position?"

Dumb move Arizona.

And I will start a fund to help him with his bills (even though he doesn't need it).

I'M SICK of this guilty until proven innocent nonsense.

I'm right there with you. As a father of three females I think that women should be treated with the same respect as men. I don't believe that anyone should be able to just accuse someone of something without proof. I have also told my girls that putting yourself in position where something bad can happen is stupid. While it isn't your fault you should never put yourself in a position that someone can take advantage of you.

We live in a juxtaposed world. First the verdict, then the trial is a reality so often. Spence, I agree with you. These are two separate issues. Women, all people, should be treated with respect and dignity, etc. However, when you engage in risky behavior there may be undesired and undeserved consequences.
