FIU - Temple

Postby Cane from the Bend » Fri Dec 22, 2017 2:36 pm

.

This is a classic example of how losing one player for these smaller teams can make truly change the outcome.

FIU's quarterback, Alex McGough, went out early in the first quarter. FIU was looking very mobile, getting the ball into Temple's territory. On their first drive of the game, McGough had a 17 yard 1rst down run. On the tackle, he fractured his collarbone.

From there, FIU couldn't recover offensively, struggling to move the ball the rest of the night.

Temple was having trouble capitalizing on their drives most of the game, as FIU's defense would stand strong throughout the first half. But, being unable to get any offensive production, to many three & outs did the Golden Panthers in, as their defense slowly got worn down by spending most of the game on the field.

Temple won the game, improving to 7-6 for the season.
