Heisman Hype, Already!?

Postby Cane from the Bend » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:17 pm

.

A new level of absurdity.

We just had Baker Mayfield announced as the Heisman winner this past Saturday.

We aren't even to the first Bowl games yet, and they are already talking about Heisman favorites for next year.

Here are the media's ridiculously premature top five:

Jarrett Stidham -- QB of Auburn
Jonathan Taylor -- RB at Wisconsin
Nick Fitzgerald -- QB of Mississippi State
Trace McSorley -- QB of Penn State
Kahlil Tate -- QB of Arizona

Taylor from Wisconsin? Even though Dobbin's ran circles around him in the championship game. Dobbin's isn't a favorite because of Webber splitting time, but he could be. He isn't Zeke Elliott, but he is very good.
