I've only been to waffle house once. Back in the 70's after a Reds double header. They were just the right place for the moment after midnight on a Saturday night. I like avocados. I like salmon benedict. I'm not all in on M&Ms and eggs on any occasion. I had lobster benedict in a north end restaurant in Boston on my last trip there and that is my favorite. My favorite thing I had from the West coast, though, was in Seattle. Diver Scallops from Pike's place market. The Hunter's point oysters aren't bad either. They were awesome. As big as a hockey puck. The big thing about food in California is the fresh fruits and vegetables. Florida is good too but there aren't many places that can compete with the variety of California.
