There is a basic rule in my life...if it is fun, make it last longer. If it is work, speed it up.

Yep...like your philosophy.

Rule changes lengthen games...having 8 or 9 plays reviewed in the booth adds minutes.

Showing on TV..means TV timeouts for commercials.

I don't notice the time if it is a good game. If it isn't I generally turn it. I don't see a problem. I do think they stop it for replay too much.
