I'm getting tired of listening to Bama fans on Facebook. Ugghh.

I SOO want Clemson to win, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Don't go counting Clemson out just yet, Derek ...

They're still playing football out there.

WoW! What a game ...

Congratulations to the Clemson Tigers on being the National Champions, and the team who slew the Big Bad Bama Dragon.

Neither team was better, they played just as hard, and just as well. Excellent way to end the Season

ps. Spence called it ... the game went into the 30's, and Clemson won.

Even Mrs. donovan was coaching Clemson. Somehow she is taking credit for the win.

Mrs. d. "I would have the guy on the right side run straight down the field to tne end zone and then run straight across to the other side. The quarterback should throw the ball there and they will meet at the same time.

Me. "Do you think it makes a difference they are on their own 20 yard line?

Mrs. d. " you have no imagination. You always want to just run up the middle.

Me. "Do we have any popcorn?"

Mrs. d. "Not if I have to leave my coaching job and go make it.

Great win for Clemson, the ACC and Mrs. d.

My thoughts. Clemson's assistant coaches sitting high above the field won the game for them As I watched the game, on the plays the TV camera show the entire defense of Alabama, these guys were never out of position. Alabama's defense consistently covered their assigned geography. Most often Alabama won the man on man contests. What happened Clemson started calling plays in the second half that periodically allowed Clemson to gain the yardage they needed. It was most evident on the last play where the pick was textbook execution.

Clemson's defense gets the rest of the credit.

No one will never know why Kiffin, for better or worse, did not call the last game. This game was not lost for Alabama because of Sarkisian's play calling, though it seemed rather conservative, but to make that switch the last minute to my thinking was ill conceived. Go with what got you there.

Legget was incredible for Clemson.

In the end, Alabama lost because one of their players could not control his temper. That cost them the game.

This was a HUUUGGE (trump) penalty. I don't doubt that it eventually cost Alabama the game. 15 yards can make all the difference on the type of play you call.

I'm sure Saban give him an ear full.

FSU beat Auburn in the finals in a game very much like Clemson's game against Bama....we seem to have a formula going.

Lay against the ropes a while...wait until there are fewer than 15 seconds on the clock and strike...giving no time for a comeback.

As I said pre bowl...the teams that Bama might have a problem with are uptempo spread teams that can pass and Clemson fit that bill.

But my...I had listened to talk that the Bama defense might be the best that ever was...and they did look fearsome. They were a little tired in the 4th qtr.

An interesting stat:

Alabama, in 14 games, gave up only 32 points, total, in the 4th quarter. Clemson scored 21 in the 4th.

So true; because Dabo went all in on that last play ... with only 1 second, it was reception & score, or incompletion as the last tick scrolls while the ball falls to the grass --- there would have been no time for the Field Goal attempt taking the game into Over Time.
