On all of our parts, mixing time frames obfuscates the generalizations. You can talk about A. One season B. Last five or ten years, C. Lifetime and any parameters you want to establish. But the idea that we look at everything in a mish-match of times is meaningless.

Sinbce 2000 minus this year......Meaningless for all the reasons not stated, nevertheless. Includes victories over Our Little Sisters of the Poor.

1. Boise State: 112-17 (.868)
2. Texas: 110-19 (.853)
3. Oklahoma: 110-24 (.821)
4. Ohio State: 102-25 (.803)
5. Southern California: 88-26 (.772) (reflects victories lost in the 2004 and 2005 seasons)
6. Florida: 100-30 (.769)
7. TCU: 95-29 (.766)
8. LSU: 99-31 (.762)
9. Georgia: 98-31 (.760)
10. Virginia Tech: 99-32 (.756)

On records since 2000...through 2016 so far

....FSU has actually won more games than Florida, Texas. TCU, Georgia on your list...

And, if you like relevant years...since 2010..

The Teams that have won the most games are...

Alabama, Ohio State, Boise, Oregon, and FSU

If you like consistent winning over a long haul....1984-2016 (the extent of my data base)

In total wins:

1...FSU...........327
2...Ohio State...318
3...Nebraska.....314
4...Alabama......306

I don't like any of it. You hit the nail on the head. I live in the past and am good with that.

They are 2-9 vs the SEC

Lost 4 of the last 6 with the ACC

Lost all three games that they have ever played against Clemson

Lost all three games that they have ever played against FSU

Ohio State is also 13-10-1 against teams currently in the ACC all time, but it all depends on how you want to spin it. Ohio State has had a national championship in every format that is recognized to determine a national championship. Only Alabama can claim the same.

I also believe that Boise State is 4th on the all time win percentage list.

I question anything that has Texas at #2 on a "good things" list.
Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

It is looking over time not that last 3-4 years.
