North Carolina - NC State

Postby Cane from the Bend » Fri Nov 25, 2016 2:47 pm

North Carolina is getting eaten up in this game.
NC State is just running all over their Defense.

The Tar Heels simply have no answer for the Wolf Pack rushing attack.

It's 21-7 right now @ Half Time; but really should be 28-7.

The NC State Coaching staff mismanaged the clock there at the end of the 2cnd quarter, and had to settle for a Field Goal attempt, which they missed [from the 9 yard line].

Pretty sure NC State gets the ball to start the half. So, The Heels are going to need to tighten up, or this game is going to get ugly for them.

For the Pack, just keep doing what is working. Because changing what is successful when you're ahead like this, is a mistake waiting to happen. take a few shots over the D-backs heads when they cheat up towards the line, as they no doubt are going to have to. But, don't stop doing what's working.

.

Outside of that ... who's ready for the Apple Cup!?

NC State isn't just chewing up the field with their running game. They're eating up the clock, and keeping North Carolina from getting their offense on the grass. And the Tar Heels offense is not out there long enough to get into rhythm.

The Wolf Pack just scored again, 28-7, and the Heels look as though they have lost confidence.

For NC State, a win today gets them Bowl Eligible -- North Carolina is playing for a possible ACC CCG appearance.

A loss today for either team, ruins that -- who wants it more -- which rival is more intent on trashing the others' season?

Either that, or, since they do not have to wait until tomorrow to learn the results of this game, they will be able to go out and play, without the pressure of the Tar Heels breathing down their neck.

It will be a rivalry game, though. And, those can be stingy. If the Cavs show up, it could get tight. I still think Va Tech wins, handily.
