Louisville, Heisman Next In Line, 1st Half Shutout

Okay, what is going on? I understand losing in front of a pumped up crowd in an away game. But this? So, if Lamar J. can't get it cranked up, who is next in line for Heisman? When was the last time Louisville was shutout for the first half? Speechless.

Houston can play a rush the passer defense...they did against Oklahoma...and against FSU last year. They are capable of bringing a good game.

I am more and more convinced that the way to attack the spread is to pressure the QB...and am impatient with FSU's 4-2-5 "read & react" scheme. Teams will start teeing off more and offenses will evolve to defeat the pass rush..and on we go.

The mystery is..how can Houston beat good teams so soundly, and lose to a mutt like SMU?

Lamar Jackson is 19...he has time to mature and let the game slow down some for him...he will win a few games in his career.

I agree. Jackson is, in my opinion. the most dynamic player in the game right now. He just doesn't have the complement of players that some other teams have for Louisville to be a great team yet.

Well, Lamar Jackson may still be in line for the Heisman but the team took a nosedive after the Clemson loss going up and down game to game with two losses at the end. Hard to take after the first 5 or 6 games. O-line sorta died off in the latter games. Sort of a Jekyll and Hyde season this year.

No one else has stepped up for the award either. Jackson is still the odds on favorite.

The media hasn't sincerely entertained the promotion of anyone else.

One of the studio spotlight voices said, "Here we see, Heisman candidate, Lamar Jackson, let's face, the only real candidate on anybody's list, run it in for a score" ... the next clip, she said, "here on a rare mistake, Lamar Jackson fumbles the ball. Not to often do you see that".

But in each of Louisville's losses, Jackson had fumble the ball an average of 3.5 times.

It's already finished. They've crowned him the next Heisman winner. The late voters need to just cast their ballets now & quit foot dragging.

Has there ever been a year that the Heisman winner was crowned so early and often? I am not a fan of the Heisman. But yeah, Jackson has pretty much sealed the deal.

Every year since 1935. It like Presidential elections, fantasy football and message boards. If you can't wait until the final score to be news, then makeup polls, sos and Heisman winners.

And this year they are totally disregarding the result of the games. last week I heard someone say Alabama could lose the final two games and get in. They gave Ohio State a mulligan and are acting like Penn State never won that game. But this is a better way to do things. I even heard someone say USC should be in the playoff because they are playing good now. This is such a better way to do things.
