We've got another half to go, but can you say, "playoff team"?

Might as well say, "Heisman" while we're at it

Well, sure didn't expect a blowout of these proportions, not near as close as the 63-20 score might indicate. Mostly did it on the ground. Whoee!

Louisville looked good. very good.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I don't know which to consider more ...

Uneasy about the possibility to play against Louisville in the ACC Title Game.

or

Excited about Miami's chances vs. fsu this year.

Personally, I think this is exactly what florida state needed. You simply cannot afford to play down by 3 or mores scores coming out of the half every game. This very well could be the wake up call the doctor ordered, to get their act together.

Football is a game that lasts 4 quarters. Many times we've seen this go the other way, where a team is so far ahead, nobody expected a comeback, until the team whom had dominated the early part of the game, is now trailing.

However, sometimes, you get in a little too over your head, and take a little too long to get things going ... in florida state's case, they just learned that 4 full quarters includes the beginning of the game as well.

.

My hat's off to the Cardinals. What a tremendous performance. They played with unrestrained force. They were ready, and were not going to give anything to fsu.

Clemson looks very beatable. And, with Houston on the schedule, Louisville certainly will have a playoff credential record if they keep this up.

I could not believe the scoreline when I saw it. Went to Nashville over the weekend, and was sure it was some kind of input error. I thought this week with Marshall would be the trap but that was thinking Louisville would win a hard fought close battle. They stomped FSU and look like they are on a real mission this year. I'm thinking Louisville might put the hurt on not just Marshall but Clemson as well. I have not seen much of anything from Clemson yet. They could always turn it on, they certainly have the firepower.

I've seen Louisville play a few times this year and Lamar is legit. I thought they had the edge on FSU for the game but man did they put on a performance. They got two tests left in Clemson and Houston. I don't think anyone in the coastal division has anything for them.

We Nole fans have gone the full "Men in B;ack" route...game? what game? serious amnesia

I knew the 3 games in 12 days would catch up...but that was an ugly performance...and having to put a 17 year old true freshman on the O line...that was uglier.

But fandom is like the Phoenix...forever rising from the ashes.

Noles recovered well this weekend as UL notched it's 4 win in a 59-28 score over Marshall. Sloppy game with many 2nd and 3rd stringers playing whole series. UL pretty much scored at will with 2 of Marsall's TDs coming on flubs by UL 2nd team.

I think the team and the fans were looking ahead to Clemson next weekend. I am sure after some of the mistakes that a few virgin ears were pierced on the way home by Bobby Pitrino's tongue lashing.

Though playing only limited minutes Lamar Jackson accounted for 5-6 TDs.

Still, all's well that ends well, Swamp Daddy :)

I, for one, am kind of hoping that Clemson wins this game, for my own selfish reasoning.
I selected Louisville to win in my picks, because I believe they are too much for Clemson.

Yet, since Miami plays neither team during the regular season, I'd like the chance to face the Tigers in the AC title game, should that be in our future. Merely due to the drubbing Clemson gave us the last time we played them. It sure would be nice to put that embarrassment to bed.

I still feel as though the Cardinals are the team to beat in the ACC. And right now, look as good as anybody else in the country.

Hell of a game, a 'real' mans game with all that went on. However, all that aside, UL once again shot themselves in the foot with errors; and, a tip of the hat to the Clemson fans who were the 12th man for sure. And, still, as in the past two games, the outcome depended on the last play of the game. I haven't thought about it enough to have more to say at the moment.

and it will be a long bi-week until the next game. Lookout Duke.

Was a great game to watch. Clemson will be beat by someone. FSU will get it figured out soon. (Someone will tell them there are two halves.) On of the problems with the current playoff over the past years, there are too many teams with no losses. Great years will be when two losses happen to every one.

Well, if I could change the thread title to Louisville Looking Bad, it would apply to the last 4 or 5 games. What a difference. I've been busy and otherwise too occupied to post but the coup de grasse was the loss to a so-so UK team when absolutely no one played defense and the O-line was subpar. What a turnaround from earlier.
