Week 11: Thoughts, Ponderings, Balderdash.

Postby armchairqb » Sat Nov 14, 2015 11:24 pm

Where was Michigan's rushing defense? Indiana can pour on points, but they have to have something more effective than cardboard cutouts on defense. Great games by Rudock and Chesson for the Wolverines.

Iowa State blasts Texas a few weeks ago and gave Oklahoma State a near migraine at Ames.

With so many head coaching openings after this season, Paul Rhoads at Iowa State, Darell Hazell at Purdue and Charlie Strong at Texas will likely each get one more year at their respective institutions.

Blasting Texas soundly is now not irregular....this season they have been beaten 38-3, and 50-7 in addition to ISU...and ISU has lost six games already including one to Toledo.

Indiana has given a lot of teams fits at home this season.

Now this weekend: Stanford loses, Baylor loses, LSU loses, Oklahoma State comes close to losing, key players have injuries, top teams give up tons of points, is anyone playing defense, how far will Michigan and UNC move up with other teams losing, etc. etc. etc.

LSU just did not lose but got their tail kicked in again by Arkansas. Last 9 years Ark is 5-4 vs LSU. Won 2 straight: 17-0 last year and 31-14 this year. The boot trophy gets to stay right where it belongs!

On a side note: LSU was favored in all nine of those games.

Football is funny...Arkansas lost to Toledo and beat LSU. Albeit that Toledo isn't chopped liver this year.

Stop LSU on the ground and you can win that game.

Who would have thought that Kansas would give TCU a game? If TCU's QB has to miss a game or two, I could see a loss.

Who gave UNC Wheaties? They have been looking pretty good.

UNC has been good ever since they started having people write papers and take tests for student athletes. Most of them don't need an education they just need the grades so they can play ball.

I don't think Strongs the answer at Texas.
