BC vs Fla St.

Postby Vileborg » Fri Sep 18, 2015 4:18 pm

We may get the conference championship game tonight. None of the other teams in the ACC has looked good except Georgia Tech and I expect them to fade as usual.

FSU better bring it's "A" game.

Agreed, it's a Friday night at Boston. If Tyler Murphy were still BC's QB, the Eagles would likely win this one. BC sure came close at Tallahassee last year.

Clemson will finish ahead of BC in the Atlantic. They never fully live up to the hype so I wouldn't pencil them into the playoffs but it will still come down to them and FSU. As for the Coastal, don't discount Duke. No they haven't played anyone yet, but I expect them to be in the running all season. This game vs Northwestern will be the first real test.

BC always gives the Noles problems.

FSU is built on speed to stop the spread. BC has big lineman and good running backs and their running game eats up the clock and field.

The Eagles will crowd the box, rush the passer, and try to make a shaky Golson throw the ball.

FSU needs to be multiple, throw some on first down, and back BC out of the box to give some room.

Golson does not throw well in the pocket when rushed...he actually throws better on the run.

It should be a good game.

FSU lost a linebacker in practice this week and is very thin at a position they were thin at to start,,,,just four linebackers left.

Mr. Billybud nailed it. Coach Fisher had great insight, "If the other team doesn't score, they won't win."

I do get frustrated with Jimbo's conservative play...he just runs out the clock and lets the defense hold.

At the end of the game, Jimbo just walked a back into the line for three and half minutes to eat clock...down on BC's 18, he did not kick a field goal in the final seconds....just kept running out the clock.

A "W" is a "W"....but don't leave points ion the field.

If you watched the game, you might have missed it....but QB Golson's block against a defensive lineman was the best block of the game. Knocked the guy flat on his back and out of the game.

FSU set another modern day football defensive record at BC....the only team to shut out a team who had scored 75 points (or more) the previous week.

FSU also holds the modern day defensive record for largest difference in point production....Houston beat Tulsa 100-6 and the next week scored 80 fewer points against the Noles.

1. Very impressive records and more impressive you know it.
2. FSU contends all the way. (There will be few undefeated this year, FSU may be one.
3. The West Coast sucks all the way to the Missouri River.
