O'Boy! Jacksonville State

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sat Sep 12, 2015 3:07 pm

My oh my, Jacksonville State is truly taking it to Auburn.

20-13 Jacksonville State leading with just 3 minutes left int he game, and Auburn just fumbled the ball.

Well, maybe Jacksonville should be in the espn top 5.

That may have just saved the Tigers.

A 17 yard punt to the 31. Auburn with the ball and 1 timeout...

Auburn at the 13 with 1:08 on the clock.

39 second left in regulation, Auburn ties the game, 20-20.

Wow. Jax State's coach should be fired on the sidelines on the spot. How do you play for OT in that situation? 37 seconds, a timeout, and the ball on the 35 yard line and you take a knee? Wow. Fire yourself. Resign. Just quit right now.

Plus that was the perfect time to pull a fast one on Auburn. Everybody standing around and the QB doesn't take a knee. Have one guy run deep and try to beat the coverage and chuck it.

Yep, I though the same thing.

Why not take off and see how many yards you can get, the defense was stopped, in an upright position.

Auburn may have gotten the benefit of the zebra's whistle on that first pass by Jackson St into the end zone in overtime, too. It looked like a clean catch, but the replay booth never called down.

That was either a touchdown, or first down at the 1.

Auburn skimmed thin ice today. And won with a tidbit o controversy last week. They are not worthy of their #6 rank.

Good Ol' Blue is looking pretty decent today, though.

His left foot was out of bounds I thought on that. He should have paid more attention to his feet on that play, but that's easier said than done. Jax State just choked up and down the line. The coach wussed out and most of the players lost their composure when it mattered most.

I honestly thought he was going to lob a rainbow pass towards the end zone and one of the receivers would have made a bolt for it. Perfect opportunity to do something like that. Cheap, but who cares as long as you win.

I'm SOO glad that Auburn is not living up to their hype. J State taking them to overtime is HUGGGEEE (Donald Trump pronunciation).
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Eli Jenkins should've thrown it away rather than take the sack in OT. Auburn won by the skin of their teeth. Interesting to see how Auburn and LSU play against each other next week in Baton Rouge.

Auburn didn't look good against Louisville...they were lucky to win the game....now they didn't look good against JState...lucky to win the game.

The Committee has looked at "game control", notably when discussiing FSU last year....

Now we have Auburn.....

and let's not forget Notre Dames comeback win at the 12 second mark....add in BYU's miracle and we have a very luck influenced season, so far.

Auburn should have lost this game. They were out played. Flat out played. The Auburn QB was awful. I don't know any other way to describe that game.

Yeah, I'm dropping them and Georgia out of my personal Top 10. Terrible QB play.
