Ark 2014 schedule and Defense

Postby Dossenator » Sun Nov 23, 2014 11:20 pm

Arkansas is the first team in college football history to have every conference opponent ranked in top 20 when they played them.

Arkansas is the first team in college football history to have played 6 top 10 teams in one season.

Arkansas is remarkably better this year as compared to last. Many warned it might not show in the win column because of the crazy schedule. Remarkable they are bowl eligible...back to back shut outs....LSU and Ole Miss combined for 99 rushing yards on 65 carries the past two games. Arkansas gave up Zero rushing TD's in Fayetteville this year (including games vs Bama, LSU, Ole Miss) and only 5 rushing TD's total this year. They did not allow more than 17 points scored on them at home this year.

Vegas says Florida State would only be a 1.5 point favorite at a neutral site.

Most of the talking heads said Ark would not win a conference game this year and miss out on another bowl.

Proud of this team for not giving up. Coaching staff is doing a great job. I hope Arkansas can hold on to this defensive staff: especially a Randy Shannon (linebackers coach) and Robb Smith (defensive coordinator). That side of the ball has made drastic improvement.

Go Hogs beat Missouri Friday. Just another top 20 team. Same as every conference game this year.
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).
