West Virginia . . . they may have just scored, but it took them until 3:22 left in the 4th quarter to take the lead.

West Va definitely.
A&M maybe - if it were 17-10 going into the half, they could blame it on not having Manziel... not so much 28-21. D is getting on form now though, so maybe there is something to be said about his leadership affecting the other side of the ball. More likely good coaching making smart locker room adjustments.
OSU, I'm not sure yet. It's sloppy with a grinding team like Buffalo but they did go ape in the 1st quarter. Could be a bit more disciplined but not necessarily cause for concern yet.
Kansas St. meanwhile I think would give anything just to be at "concerned." LA-Lafayette is going to go in there looking to show something, too...

I have Buffalo finishing 6-6, so I don't think they'll be worst-team-in-the-country kind of bad. But, it wasn't a great defensive performance. I thought Ohio State looked fine offensively. Miller wasn't going full-steam for a good portion of the game.

I'm not worried. We are thin at linebacker and the Dline should get better with experience. Considering we we short 6 starters for the day, not bad. I'm not worried......................YET. It was a good live action practice.

We will have to wait on Oregon..they are beating up Nicholls ...or maybe Nicholls is beating up Oregon all the way to the bank.

The thing that I was mostly concerned with was the lack of discipline on defense. I'm hoping that will be fixed because they are a young group.

Uh, these box scores are a little wacky right now. Props to you if you predicted that, at 8:24 PM ET, Howard, Eastern Washington, McNeese State, Eastern Illinois, Northern Iowa, and Wyoming would have leads

First game. It is hard to take much from a first game. Except that Alabama looks ready to go again.

Oregon State has issues...dang.

I don't know who else will agree with me, but the biggest shocker of the weekend for me was San Diego State getting massacred by Eastern Illinois. I also felt that New Mexico was going to turn a corner under Bob Davie's second year, but they blew a lead late against UTSA. Northern Iowa beating Iowa State was less of a surprise for me; UNI is almost always solid. Good weekend for the Missouri Valley.
EDIT: Oh, right. I forgot about McNeese State annihilating USF by 30 points

BOISE STATE. Deer in the headlights. I am no longer concerned. I think the die is cast.

I have personal interest in three teams. Boise State, Oregon State and Brigham Young. I think I'll start following lawn bowling.

Rough weekend for you Donovan. I was not expecting Boise to lose in that fashion.

Thanks......give Washington their dues, but Boise was not physical. And the play calling was high school. Pretty atypical. We'll see.
