In Case There Was Any Wonderment Why ...

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sat Sep 07, 2024 6:59 pm

-------------------------------------------------------------

I put Northern Illinois @ Notre Dame on the picks list ...

Thank You Huskies, for giving me a reason to smile around town, today.

I came so close to taking NIU in my Predictions. I just couldn't pull that trigger.

Dangit, I wish I had gone to this one.

What a finish, too.

The Huskies blocked the wouldbe game winning FG.

This team reminds me of the No Illinois team with Garrett Wolfe and Phil Horvath.

These guys look good.

Maybe they'll be the Group of 5 representative in the Playoff.

I feel bad for Marcus Freeman. But….not for ND

Surprising loss……….. especially after last week’s performance on the road against a good Texas A&M Aggies team.

I recall reading after the win where the Notre Dame folks were doing a little whining about not being eligible for a ‘bye’ in the College Football Playoff.

After yesterday’s performance against the Northern Illinois Huskies the Irish may very well get two of them from the CFP Committee, as in “Bye, Bye”.
