Re: CCR

I take it back. They don't have a power rating of 0. I've asked CFP Admin to come explain it to y'all.

Re: CCR

Let's take something into consideration... CCR picks the games based on the difference between the power ratings of the teams. We don't cover FCS, so, therefore all FCS teams have a power rating of 0. If we have nothing to compare the FBS and FCS teams against each other, how would the FCS team ever...

Re: AAFL

Regarding the team structure, yes, right now most of the teams are SEC. Their structure calls for SEC, ACC and Big 10 teams at the start, and then expanding to include all BCS conferences. I think it'll probably fold, too. There's just no room. The XFL was awesome, in my book, and I absolutely loved...

AAFL

So you may have heard by now about the All-American Football League. It's a new professional league that requires players to hold a Bachelor's degree, and caps salaries at $100,000. Numerous college football greats are expected to play (e.g. Eric Crouch, Chris Leak). Universities benefit from the le...

Re: CFP Pick 'Em - Wk 10

Donovan, it's perfectly fine that you use the CCR picks. That's why we put 'em out there! Haha.

(We do not condone college football gambling... but, uh, if you're going to do it anyways, you can use our picks  )

Re: FAU vs UL-Monroe: Photos

Haha, I know, right? Granted, everyone ran away at that point because of the downpour, but even in the sunshine there were probably only 2,000 people there. So sad. How did they ever make 1-A? I mean, uh, Football Bowl Subdivision.

Re: FAU vs UL-Monroe: Photos

As you can see it was rather muddy in that area... he did a slide-kick like they do in soccer, basically. The ball didn't even get to an offensive lineman, haha. The UL-Monroe kicker had 1 blocked, 1 missed out-right, and that 1 missed on the slip. The FAU kicker had 2 blocked, I believe. It was ugl...

FAU vs UL-Monroe: Photos

It was wet. Really wet. But I still had fun, and got some good shots. Mud makes for interesting plays. As an example, I present to you the UL-Monroe place kicker having a bit of trouble getting his feet planted in overtime: http://www.visualdissonance.com/fau-ulm/DSC_1457.jpg And some cheerleaders g...

Re: Boston College vs Virginia Tech

Told-you-so ! We always blow up on ourselves. As another Hokie friend of mine pointed out tonight with 30 seconds left... "I'm feeling like it's Donovan McNabb all over again" (regarding Syracuse's last second TD toss to win the game). Unfortunately he was justified in his feeling. Oh wel...

Re: Boston College vs Virginia Tech

The D is what's keeping Ryan in check.IMO Well, of course. I think it's easier for a defense to play in the rain than for an offense. You aren't catching balls, you aren't trying to be agile and light on your feet in the slush, and the like. Just look at the score... 10-0. Obviously the offenses ar...

Re: Boston College vs Virginia Tech

Eh, the TD... you have to remember the refs aren't using the same cameras as ESPN is. And "indisputable" means indisputable.

Thank goodness for the rain. It kept the game close at the start and kept Ryan and Challenger from doing any damage. Otherwise this game would be far different, IMO.

Re: CFP Pick 'Em - Wk 9

Y'all are crazy for thinking VT will beat BC Thursday. And this is coming from a Hokie fan. Hah. I expect a letter of apology to all of us who picked Virginia Tech after the Hokies beat Boston College. If we win I'll be too busy celebrating right after the game, but later on I'll issue a letter of ...
