Re: Auburn v UCF
Alabama passes the eye test IMO. They're not vintage Alabama, but they're probably still the best team in the country. I maintain that you should have to be a conference champion to get in. The committee wanted Bama/Clemson to knock each other out so they didn't get a 3-peat. This is the real nation...

Re: Michigan
Harbaugh should probably just leave for the NFL. I probably would bail on this sinking ship while I still have some cachet. The talent level of coaching in the B1G is starting to hit ridiculous levels, and the trend at my program is a big arrow pointing downward. The two jobs that everybody talks a...

Re: Michigan
It'd be something completely different if Michigan had upset a Penn State or an Ohio State and got upset by a Purdue or a Minnesota. That would have people feel less sour about this season by a wide margin, because Michigan would have displayed an ability to beat a quality football team. There's not...

Re: Michigan
Didn't Mich have some QB injuries this year?? Yes, but that shouldn't be a big issue. Brandon Peters is just as talented physically as Wilton Speight, although Speight played the game smarter (as a redshirt junior vs a redshirt freshman). And Peters was technically the #3 behind O'Korn, but he is m...

Re: Michigan
I really think that Harbaugh tries to hard to be a "genius" At the end of the game going for the 4th and 9 and saying it's all or nothing now was stupid. Why not punt with 8:00 left and let your strength have a shot to give you the ball back or better get a turnover. Instead Harbaugh opts...

Re: Ga v Okla
You knew Oklahoma wasn't going to last in this game. OU just doesn't win these types of game. I smelled this meltdown coming from a mile away. Unfortunately the committee was too chicken to put Alabama at #3 where they probably should have been because they wanted to get Clemson/Bama out of the way ...

Michigan
Not that anybody should care about this irrelevant football team, but I wanted to hear some of your takes on the state of Michigan football. On my end, it's kind of brutal. Sick of the hype and the apologists. Anything that can go wrong has gone wrong and any inkling of hope you might have had 3 yea...

Re: Coaching Moves
He retired after taking the interim job for a few games. He's 71 so I don't think he was looking for a full-time thing.

Re: Coaching Moves
So far Kent State is proving my original post correct. Who are they looking at? Ohio State assistants, Marcus Freeman (played at Ohio State, assistant defensive coach at Cincinnati, bingo!), Scott Schafer (defensive assistant), and Minnesota's run game coordinator / OL-coach. Shocker! The best optio...

Re: Coaching Moves
Some of the late-stage coaching movement makes me wonder if Chip Kelly is kicking himself for jumping back in so soon. If he had waited a little bit, Florida State would have been open, and then if he didn't want to take that job, Oregon may have opened back up

Re: Coaching Moves
I wouldn't be on the Willie Taggart train if I were Florida State. Seems like a decent coach, but he hasn't taken a team to the promised land yet. If I were FSU and I couldn't afford to screw up a coaching search, I want a guy who has won at an elite level. Taggart has been consistently good, but no...

Re: MT West
If that's the case, then it's a totally stupid rule. Home field should be decided by conference record, then head-to-head as the tiebreaker, and then go down the list if they haven't played each other yet. I understand why the AAC, C-USA, and MWC have home field for the championship games. The teams...

Re: Praying for a sequence...will get Donovan to rant
Exactly, it's totally selective memory. Ole Miss gets thrashed by (Big 12-version) TCU in the Peach Bowl, nobody holds that against Ole Miss next year. They forgive and forget. Ole Miss can take care of business the following season and people will treat them like a demigod SEC program. A non-BCSer ...
