That's an 'objective' analysis, folks, and it's made in part through Purdue beating K-State, in the Alamo Bowl. If Purdue is necesssarily 'better', then TCU by nature of their win over USC, is comparable, if not better, since Purdue lost to Notre Dame, and USC, and barely scraped by with a win over...

I thought we were listing the over all beat team since 2000. If it is a single year then I would say Miami 2001 also.

With your permission I will now list the games TCU has played the last quarter century, against 'ranked' teams, not that necessarily means anything to me: Doesn't it tell you something when that is all the space you need to list the ranked teams TCU has played in the last 25 years? And by the way, ...

Goes to show you the relative strength of the B-12 north.

True, but Va Tech could make an argument for deserving a BCS at-large. They got left out because Notre Dame was locked in per the "notre dame" rule and Ohio State was locked in because of the top 5 rule. There are several teams in the top 10 who could make an argument for inclusion. West Virginia an...

I think that they should be given the chance to improve after the conference fell apart, through no doing of their own. The B-East went a long way this year to prove they belong, winning the BCS game. That proves, at the very least, the potential is there to build. It all depends on whether or not t...

I would go with USC or Oklahoma. USC's run since 2002 has been amazing, but I probably go with Oklahoma for being near the top every year except this last season.

Kansas State lost a game...but the penalty for playing a "light" schedule is that you must win your conference(KSU=SOS #56)...in 1998, FSU lost one game playing a schedule ranked SOS#5. FSU and KSU had identical records...but FSU played a much tougher schedule and was the conference champ to boot.....

I shouldn't necessarily make 'accusations' I can't 'prove' it was a fluke, but having to rely on a fairly 'stupid' coaching decision, late in the game, to win it, tells me something about W. Virginia. I don't think it's ever a good idea to try a fake punt when you have over 5 yards, that one could ...

Boston............hum.........New Jersey, right?  I could understand someone not knowing where Toledo was, but how do you live your whole life not knowing Boston, Mass or Chicago, Illinois. If they don't know that ask them what state New York is in, that one should really throw them for ...

Add on to previous post.

What I am basically trying to say is that as long as you don't fix the results it doesn't mean the science is bad, even if you have an agenda.

The computers aren't without bias either. It is just that the bias is preloaded, before the games are played. I am not saying that the bias is intentional in any case. Hester and Anderson set up their system specifically to "prove" the Washington was better than Miami in 1991 and adjusted their for...

The news media has lost control of itself and is not a good source of accurate and timely information any more. I saw when I got back that its becoming even more so on the sports side. I read a headline where one of the players for the Ohio University Bobcat's football team punched a horse right be...
