Re: Transfers-Anyone Know How Many Players.....
Eric Sachse -- Immediate -- from Trinity to Boise State That is a long list and we all appreciate the time put into it. This one stands out to me. Plenty of kids go from FBS to FCS or even D2/D3. I know he is a kicker but going all the way from D3 to top 25 FBS. Hopefully, there is an upgraded acad...

Re: Stay Warm Out There
It turned out to be a very informative couple days. News reports stated that frostbite could occur in around 7 mins for exposed skin, with initial danger in as little as 3. I stepped out briefly, 72 secs, fully bundled and I believe them. I discovered what ice quakes are, and more specific what they...

Re: Stay Warm Out There
Stay warm and hydrate..when did we start saying hydrate...Drink plenty of water. Alot of people fail to understand that this is important even in winter. I have 2 tumblers that help keep my water drinkable, cool in the summer, unfrozen in the winter. My first year as a postal worker, I used an old ...

Re: Stay Warm Out There
Temps are certainly on the rise here. We are currently sitting at 1 degree and snowing. Yesterday was one to remember, I woke up to my gauge reading -58. It measures wind chill and gives a more accurate how it feels temp, not simply air temp. I was very glad that the Postal Service cancelled deliver...

Re: Tip of the Iceberg
You can't have a conference spanning across half the country and not get the big media deals to counter the growing expenses. Both UCONN and Houston are inexplicably in the same AAC. Lets not forget that baseball and soccer are making these same journeys playing in front of about 50 people. Get back...

Re: Post Your "Make You Think" Questions
1. Would a program ever be considered a dynasty if it never won a national title? Like 10-12 win seasons, conference championships, bowl wins, but never the big one. 2. Would you rather "your" team beat its rival 10 seasons straight but never win a national title, or beat your rival one s...

Re: Let’s Goooooooo Mountaineers
WHAT?!? I thought that play was gonna be ugly for Syracuse. That will be one of the highlights of the bowl season. Sorry to say but I do believe that is the nail in the coffin for WVU.

Re: Auburn-Purdue
........geeeez, yet another yawner this bowl season. For one reason or another some of these match-ups are proving not very good to watch. Hell, the freakin’ Boise/Boston College rainout was easier to watch. I agree, not many good ones yet. Either the matchup does nothing for my interest, or...

Re: Auburn-Purdue
Yup that game got ugly real quick. Sadly I picked Purdue thinking they would come out excited with the head coach staying. They have a funny way of showing appreciation.

Re: Merry Christmas
Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I do believe that A Christmas Carol is my favorite of the holiday movies. Plenty of good options. We bounced around to alot of different places, saw more family than one person should be made to endure, but in the end we made it thru and had some good times in th...

Re: Wow...Army-Houston
What a phenomenal season for Army West Point Football. Now in back to back seasons: Won a bowl, Won the Commander in Chief trophy, and Beat Navy. The dominant bowl win just gave them the most wins in program history. Granted they haven't played more than 10-11 games for the vast history but still a ...

Re: UAB -v- Northern Illinois
I watched some of it and yes that WR was having a huge game. UAB is a nice story after abandoning the football program for a season, they have had a couple solid seasons, and a conf title.

HIghfly24, you are one of this board's true football aficionados. Thank you I'll take that as high praise. Yep, Mary Hardin looked good in that win. I was flipping back and forth to the Battle of the Dakotas...... North beat South and looked good doing it too. 8) Agreed. They are tough to beat.

Re: Will Somebody Please Explain To Me........
Anyone watch the Stagg Bowl between Mount Union and Mary Hardin Baylor? MHB ran the same fake punt from around their own 40, up 8 with 7 mins to go, and failed. However it did not cost the championship. Mount Union moved the ball inside the 15 before losing it. As I watched it, I kept thinking back ...

Re: Oh Boise
One of the best games to watch. Boise was all over them early, then it was OU comeback. The AP run in OT. Statue of LIberty with Johnson. Never get tired of seeing the game. And after this upset to end the CFB season, the next season would start with the epic Appy State over Michigan.
