Re: maybe this year?

NCAA scandal punishments seem extreme and appeals have been filed. Who knows what the result will be. However, recruiting has been out of site for this year and also for next year. Things for the basketball season should be great this year and next year. I think Pitino will be out to prove a point. ...

Re: Dead forum?

Well, for a time last year it was BYU fan and myself. 8) I am on many local basketball forums; and, sometimes, I overlook this forum when I stick to football here. Still, it's been pretty dead here.

Let the games begin

Less than 7 days for many teams to start the 2017 football season. I, for one, can hardly wait. I've already stocked up on snacks and drinks. Let the mayhem begin.

Re: Louisville: What's next?

You can bet we all (around here) would like to level off at 9-10 wins every year. And, as a longtime fan I know how bad we were in the old days and how far we've climbed under AD Tom Jurich. This man may be a genius at his job as all sports have improved tremendously with the biggest strides coming ...

Re: Have we died and no on told us?

Due to the resource requirement of phpBB (the software this board runs on), and the considerable size of the archive, we have to pay more than you'd think for this thing. It may be cheaper elsewhere, but that requires devoting resources to transfer it over. If anyone wants to set up hosting and the...

Louisville: What's next?

After the amazing start, the season ending nosedive, I am left wonder what the upcoming season will be like. Coach Petrino has been recruiting hard and getting good players some of whom will no doubt play as freshmen. the heavy emphasis is on the O-line which certainly makes sense considering last y...

Re: Louisville, Heisman Next In Line, 1st Half Shutout

Despite late season flame-out, UL snagged the Heisman anyway. The O-line just was not good enough to sustain things and when teams developed a defense for the duck and run talents of Lamar things tailed off. However, if you believe in recruiting Bobby P. has stabilized the line with incoming people ...

Re: College World Series 2017

Always nice to edge into the CWS by sweeping your in-state rival as UL goes to the CWS for the 4th time in 10 years. Maybe we can do some damage there this time.

Re: Louisville, Heisman Next In Line, 1st Half Shutout

Well, in those games where UL lost and Lamar fumbled he was trying too hard, trying to do all the work when the O-line basically gave up. His fumbling wasn't the real problem to me it was his pass inaccuracy at times. Too much zip, a hair too far or too short; probably too much adrenaline. I think h...

Re: Louisville Looking Good

Well, if I could change the thread title to Louisville Looking Bad, it would apply to the last 4 or 5 games. What a difference. I've been busy and otherwise too occupied to post but the coup de grasse was the loss to a so-so UK team when absolutely no one played defense and the O-line was subpar. Wh...

Re: Louisville, Heisman Next In Line, 1st Half Shutout

Well, Lamar Jackson may still be in line for the Heisman but the team took a nosedive after the Clemson loss going up and down game to game with two losses at the end. Hard to take after the first 5 or 6 games. O-line sorta died off in the latter games. Sort of a Jekyll and Hyde season this year. Sw...

Depends on who is in charge. :D

I'd say power 5 champs, 2 high ranking teams, 1 from all the rest out there.

At least we won't have to worry about him taking the furniture or silverware when he leaves the White House.

ACC stability

When UL joined the ACC all TV rights were assigned to the conference for 10 years; so, even if you leave the ACC (horrible buyout) your TV rights stay behind. This has created a barrier to isolate the ACC if another wild round of musical chairs and expansion take place in college football. It seems ...
