I thought the Floyd fumble in the Orange Bowl was a great call...ball broke the plane before the fumble...replay on angles was close...but when the ball is on the stripe its all over. Course a Nole and a Husker should disagree on this one. The call against the Canes for pass interference against OSU...

I liked the story about Bama's pachyderms. They just don't write in that Grantland Rice style anymore....I wonder if the golden age of football appellations is gone, never to be repeated? Many young folks now aren't aware of the four horsemen or winning one for the Gipper...they might know of "Rudy"...
