That's the bottom line. Michigan State should be a program that cranks out solid NFL draft picks on a regular basis. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......this mind boggling. Never have I heard in the criterion of a good football program is to "crank" out NFL draft picks on a regular basis......No wo...

First it presupposes that programmers do not influence the algorithms towards their bias...probably some more than others...... People who create computer rankings are too interested in seeing them succeed. There is no way they would tinker with them. A little too much "conspiracy theory" ideology ...

Re: John L. is Canned

Sad. How about John L. Smith's future? Does anybody think he will coach again at the 1-A level? I think he does at a smaller school, maybe even 1-AA. He can really succeed there, I think he was in over his head in East Lansing. Smith will Coach in I A again. Though the Michigan State Program did no...

Tonight we may be able to see how good of Coach Chris Petersen really is. Boise does not need to win by a large margins, they just need to control the whole game. With nothing else to watch, they should get an extra 17 people to watch the game. They may even get 4 inches of newspaper space tomorrow....

I honestly don't see Boise State going to the BCS. I believe they will, but it won't be easy (nor should it be). They need to play 'convincing' football down the stretch, to become BCS-eligible. "Convincing football. Winning is never enough for those that lose and still want to play. And what is co...

Sounds like to me, this would be a good reason to start a new National Poll.............But..dang it...Only those matches that are Super Heros against Super Heros that have a good SOS. I do not want to see Bat Girl ranked up with Superman, no matter how many wins she has against......who does she fi...

The greatest rivalries are not necessarily the games that have the most impact in the polls, standings or even the conference. They are the games where the tradition is so strong, that a win there will cover the sins of the rest of the season. Certainly the ones in the poll are there, save a couple ...

Speaking of crazy parents, I was watching CNN Headline News, there was another story of a parent who got in a fight with a coach over his son's playing time; he pulled a gun on him!! : all these options I never knew were available..will my kids ever forgive me for the times they sat on the ...
There are 3 teams with a legit reason to be #1 (that would be all 3 of our teams, Spence and MM). I believe that the national championship should be Michigan and Ohio State.
or in the words of Marie Antoinette..."let them eat cake." It is so humbling to be in your presence.....how do...

Arkansas versus Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.....Not a bad pairing....Nutt versus the school that allowed him to get back to his roots. I sure hope not. That is a game there would be no upside for the Razorbacks. Beating Boise St would not do anything, but a loss would be totally devastating. It ...

Thanks for the explanation. You may not agree with the methodology, but you have to admire a philosophy that someone sticks with and does not shift with every wind, especially when it has proven results. I can think of all kinds of professions that do not get it right 74% of the time.

How did we ever determine who was best before computers?

Or has there always been computers......I am so confused.

A yellow pad and a Dixon Ticonderoga worked for years...not sure why still doesn't.

By the way donovan, have you sent the Hokies a "Thank You" note yet?

I am so ungrateful, I have not...but I will....

I am hoping, but frankly, Boise St has some real issues. Although this Johnson is a savy runner.
