Re: OSU Casey Retires as Baseball Coach

College baseball will not be the same without him, esp in the Northwest. Know he will still be involved with the program to some degree but still. He did a tremendous job and changed the perception of the region. Much respect.

Went to bed at halftime. Appears TCU kept the momentum going after a real sluggish first quarter. They seemed to take control mid 2nd, TCU was the better team so no real surprise.

Re: Opening week showcases differences..

/ Talk about Showcases & remarkable finishes ... Penn State just saved their season by Interception. An Overtime win vs App State isn't going to impress the pollsters. But they have the Pedigree, according to Donovan's laws of injustice. Anyway, an interception in the end zone to win is still a...

Re: Opening week showcases differences..

Maryland gets a pick after allowing Texas to convert on 4th down. Game over and Maryland gets the upset. The feel good story coming out of this one is them taking the field with only 10 players to start the game and Texas declining the delay of game penalty. Kuddos to Texas for showing class on what...

Re: Opening week showcases differences..

There are better matches on this week....Auburn-Washington...FSU-VT...Texas-Maryland...Notre Dame-Michigan, etc. Go Appalacian State! Up on Penn State...but it is early. Appy State tied at the half with Penn State. I would like to see them go to another Big 10 stadium and find a way to pull off the...

Re: Friday Night Games

I like seeing this, when teams who are traditional rivals schedule each other even when they are no longer affiliated by conference ties. The Colorado/Nebraska game goes all the way back to 1898. They last met on the field in 2010, with Nebraska winning the game, 45–17. I really enjoy the fact they...

Re: Friday Night Games

That Utah State Mich State game was a fun finish. Utah State had the lead, MSU answers, Utah St starts driving back down the field. A good pass rush gets the INT to seal the win. Almost had our first top 15 upset of the season. Army is trying to lose, by fumbling the game away to Duke. Yes that was ...

Thurs 8-30

The football season continues in just a couple days, and once again there will be some conference battles to kick off a team schedule. Looking thru the picks, UCF is the clear favorite against UCONN and I fall into that camp as well. Staying in the AAC, I think Tulane Wake Forest is a compelling gam...

Re: 3 Hours ...

Shoot, New Mexico St didn't even get past the 50 until 2 minutes left in the game, and Wyoming had all of their second tam defensive players on the field. The score was 29-0 before the Aggies finally got into the end zone with 1:15 on the clock. Wyoming ran for over 300 yards on `em. Worse off, New...

Re: 3 Hours ...

Not watching the Rice PVAM game, but have been watching Hawaii. That QB looks pretty good tonite. He is mobile and made some really nice decisions. They are really putting it on Colo State and I'm not sure many ppl would've expected that. Still lots of time but the Rams defense hasnt shown much to b...

Re: Who's Ready For Some Football?

Sometimes playing devil's advocate is needed. If someone played devil's advocate when debating laws and policies inside political parties in this country instead of the all or nothing way they do things now, things would be lots better. Certainly no argument on that. Not to get too political but I'...

Re: Who's Ready For Some Football?

I think Miami comes out hungry. Not sure if they stay that way week in/out. However, I see them handling LSU. Lots of excitement around the Army program. Beat navy 2 yrs running, won the Commander in Chief trophy last year. Its been a steady climb of improvement since Jeff Monken took over. No Brads...

Re: Who's Ready For Some Football?

Glad to know you guys are still here, and reading some of the recent posts, still going strong on the East/West debate. It was a long hibernation but I'm looking forward to get back in the conversation and reading/posting tidbits of intrigue. Less than a week before we see some teams suit up. Here's...
